GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 621467
Press Delete to exclude entry from history
Last modified: 2010-06-14 09:05:06 UTC
Every now and then we mistype an address, and it goes to our history. When we start typing the correct address, the wrong address is one of the matches in the popup list of history+bookmarks. Firefox and, I heard, IE allow the user to remove such unwanted address in a very simple way. When the entry shows up in the popup, press down until you reach the entry, and press Delete. This is very little discoverable, but doesn't get in the way if you don't use the feature. Task-centric documentation would be very much welcome with this feature. Alternatively, the user might be able to rigth-click the entry and select "Remove from the history".
