If you receive a new message, a notification bubble with the message text will show up. This bubble will also show the message-new (?) icon. The icon in question (see screenshot) is only available up to 24x24 pixels, so it needs to be scaled up and looks pixelated.

We could add proper 32x32 and 48x48 versions of the icon, but I think it would be nicer to show the avatar image in the bubble anyway?

We use the avatar as icon if the contact has one, if not we fallback to message-new.
Closing as a dup of bug #615753 as this bug is about the lack of big size for this icon.

Note that the contact did have an avatar image, but it was not used. Using 2.30.1
