I'm running yesterday's git master.  My spam folder currently has 25 messages, as shown at the top of the folder list (25 unread, 25 total).  The actual spam folder entery shows:  Spam (8).   8 != 25.

I've attached a screenshot.

i get similar mismatches across all my folders.  they're all IMAP and 'Search Folders'.  i'm using 2.30.1.2 but this has been going on for several releases.

This was finally fixed with changes from bug #559391, thus I'm closing this as a duplicate of it.
