Description Christian Giordano 2010-06-10 11:16:41 UTC
Probably there is a technical reason (maybe related to the usage of X11) but since I couldn't find this bug in the listed ones...

What I find very useful in Photoshop is that it knows the size of the eventual clipboard content. If I create a new document, the default size becomes those.

Since it is not pretty intuitive to paste in Gimp, this would be very helpful.

Thanks!

We've actually changed it from your suggestion to the current behaviour, because it used to confuse users. See bug #315106.

Ok, not that I know about the create from clipboard I will use it. It's just the migration from Photoshop is pretty hard. Two very different approaches in general.

Thanks a lot and sorry!
