Description Geert Janssens 2010-06-09 10:21:32 UTC
The current log replay feature only handles transaction manipulations. There is currently no other information in the log files, so that's to be expected.

Bug #621075 requests to extend the logs further to all GnuCash savable objects (like accounts, bills/invoices, vendors/customers, tax tables, ...).

If that enhancement request actually gets implemented one day, the replay function should be able to deal with these new objects as well.

Geert, I believe the better way would have been, to mark all the partial aspects bugs as blocker for this [meta]bug - or do you have one simple patch to catch them all?
Comment 4 Geert Janssens 2010-06-10 07:37:31 UTC
I retrospect, yes, you may be right. When I created this and the related bug, I figured the issue could only be solved by fixing it completely and then even only if bug #621075 is fixed first. I believed it is an all or nothing kind of solution.

But you correctly suggest that the feature would be improved already if account addition and/or deletion were supported (the feature requests of the bugs I marked as duplicate).
Comment 5 Geert Janssens 2010-06-10 07:54:21 UTC
I have reopened the two bugs and set them as blockers for this bug and bug #621075.
