GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 620981
file-roller crashes when adding dangling symlinks to 7z
Last modified: 2011-11-30 06:20:10 UTC
this report has been filed here: https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/file-roller/+bug/591111 "To reproduce: ln -s does-not-exist symlink file-roller -a symlink.7z symlink Result: "An error occurred while adding files to the archive. [...] Error: stat error for ./symlink (No such file or directory)" This is caused by using -l on the 7z command line. While that might be desirable as a checkbox option, I think it should default off, and it definitely shouldn't be hard coded as it is now." the reporter also attached a patch: http://launchpadlibrarian.net/49927948/fr-remove-dash-l-7z.patch
It doesn't crash for me, it just shows an error dialog.
Can you please check again whether this issue still happens in GNOME 3.0.2 or 3.2.0 and update this report by adding a comment and changing the "Version" field? Thanks a lot.
