Description Paul Ezvan 2010-06-08 08:44:33 UTC
When thread view is activated, "Next message" action in message view don't follow the current thread.
It did in Evolution 2.28, is the change intentionnal ?

Seems to work fine for me.

Could you please elaborate more about steps what you are doing ?

Do you have descending or ascending date sorting ?

I didn't change this setting, newer messages are at the bottom. (It is set to "customize" order).

Here is an exemple : if I am viewing the message untitled "[Evolution] trash recovery" on the Evolution list in the main view (with message list, folder list, etc) and I click on "next message" I get the next message in thread (untitled RE: [Evolution] trash recovery".
But if I open the first message ("[Evolution] trash recovery") in its own view (by double-clicking on it) and then I click again on "next message" I get the message untitled "Re: [Evolution] Searching in the calendar." which obviously is not on the same thread.

I can confirm the bug here. The Next/Previous message in the Message window (the new window you get by double-clicking on a message) always go to the next/previous message in chronological order: they don't ignore only thread grouping but also all the other view options (order by author, by message, etc.)
