GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 620831
Print to file folder destination and extension file
Last modified: 2010-11-09 14:54:11 UTC
This wishlist by Debian at Launchpad https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gtk+2.0/+bug/583457 -- The print dialog should remember the file format (i.e. pdf over ps) and the folder (selectable, but not each and every time), when saving to a file. Furthermore, it should ask for a name (or confirm if empty), instead of just dumping a ".extension" file.
=> gtk+
Hi Kenobi, the support for such functionality is in the gtk+ already. You can find it here: http://library.gnome.org/devel/gtk/unstable/GtkPrintSettings.html#gtk-print-settings-load-file (and below it). It works well in evince for example (just tested on evince-2.32.0 in Fedora 14). You should file a feature request against the application which doesn't work as you expect. I'm closing this. Regards Marek
