On Ubuntu 10.04, Ekiga 3.2.6 (with Yannick's PPA opal :
https://launchpad.net/~sevmek/+archive/ppa)

I configured my devices via the Assistant.
Then a new contact wrote me -> ok
He called me or I called him -> problems with video

I added him as a "new contact " (Ctrl-N), then restarted Ekiga.

-> I could call him without any video problem.

I think there is another problem here.  Could you please write again how to reproduce?  Is it reproducible?  I have created a contact (500) and called it: video works.

(Bug title seems to be different than bug description)

I can't reproduce by removing/adding 500@ekiga.net (did not try with a real new contact)

Maybe this was due to Bug #620795 ...
