Description Sense Hofstede 2010-06-06 12:00:13 UTC
When drives are mounted their position on the desktop is not ordered, but it appears (to the user) that the drives are placed randomly over the desktop. This doesn't look well and could cause confusion with the user, who might not see drives when they are shown at the bottom of the desktop.

A screenshot demonstrating the issue can be found at <http://launchpadlibrarian.net/49633685/Captura_de_tela.png>.

This bug was originally reported by Rafael Machado on Launchpad in Ubuntu at <https://launchpad.net/bugs/589442> and is accepted as an Ubuntu paper cut.

Starting with version 3.28, nautilus will not handle the "files on desktop background" feature. For better alternatives, read this blog post https://csorianognome.wordpress.com/2017/12/21/nautilus-desktop-plans/
