Firefox 3.x autoscroll icon in Linux

Firefox with enabled autoscroll functionality, set in the General tab of Advanced preferences pane displays a circle autoscroll icon without transparency (and is really ugly this way). It worked in Fx versions up to 2.x. On Windows and Mac it works OK.

This bug has been reported to Bugzilla:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=429698
and Ubuntu:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox-3.0/+bug/304306
but people there claim it's the bug of GTK+ and they can do nothing about it.

Maybe there is a dup, but I didn't know how to look for it.

I don't see any supporting evidence, just one guy claiming 'this is a gtk issue'...

Maybe You're right - I've seen several people saying this but nothing concrete. Also:

I was probably too much in a hurry.
