Why is this a gnome-applets issue?
Comment 2 Allison Karlitskaya (desrt) 2010-06-02 02:47:45 UTC
There's a very small chance that this is a GTK problem, but most likely it's a driver issue related to hiberation.

It's almost certainly not a problem with the trash applet itself.

rusivi: you should chase this issue up with your distribution (Ubuntu, I guess).

André, honestly, I was being presumptuous in naming the bug... I do not know if this is problem caused by GNOME-applets or the GNOME-applets Trash Bin icon visual glitch is a result of the hibernation driver issue Ryan is referring to.

I was having hibernation problems with the newest version of Ubuntu (10.04) and created/helped fix a bug in pm-utils which brought about this bug:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pm-utils/+bug/576562

I have followed up with the distro (Ubuntu) via the simultaneously created bug:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-applets/+bug/588100

Thank you for addressing this bug inquiry.
