Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.
Unfortunately, that stack trace is missing some elements that will help a lot to solve the problem, so it will be hard for the developers to fix that crash. Can you get us a stack trace with debugging symbols? Please see http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces for more information on how to do so. Thanks in advance!

suprise! I could login here!!
unable to login to the rest of gnome... the links for SUSE are non functional:
http://download.opensuse.org/debug/distribution/%3CSL-version%3E/repo/oss/
A failed update attempt to gThumb 2005-02-28 started a cascade of malfunctions that has led to openSUSE 11.2 disintegrating into a continuous FUD. (Fix and Update Daily). Reminiscent of Microsoft... before Windows 7.
We are unable to produce a better stack trace, haven't time to figure out how.
gthumb 2.11.2.1 works well as installed, we will NOT 'fix it'. It didn't crash, but was intentionally closed.
If you want to improve on gThumb, you might add simple editing features like 'flip' and 'rotate'. Eye of Gnome has these... but cannot navigate up and down through catalogs like gthumb can.

We are 14 software engineers with a combined Linux experience of one hundred years, We have about 100 clients. SUSE 10.0 was the Shock & Awe of software, worked straight off the DVD. able to recover lost and hacked fines from any operative system. Rock stable, unbreakable. Unfortunately it is outdated and will not adequately support Flash 10, Firefox 3.6 and other necessary tools for 2010+.
Severe problems with GDM, DeviceKit and ICEauthority we have debugged, a few more like secure log-in and disappearing thumbnails in Nautilus need work on. Now Novell is running away from these problems by turning its meager efforts to openSUSE 11.3 Running away from a problem instead of solving it. Severely stricken with feature-itis, openSUSE is doomed if prospective users are dependent on 'experts' to get it to run smoothly and stable. We use openSUSE as a free appetizers, if the prospective client likes that, come back and we'll set up up with the industrial strength version: SLED+SLES.

gThumb 2.11.3 has a lot of bug fixes. I don't recommend using 2.11.2.1.

gThumb already has flip and rotate tools. Open an image and click on the "Edit file" toolbar button above and to the right of the image.
