empathy hangs with high cpu load when changing avatar

I am able to change it in jabber and aim, but not 'People Nearby'. Steps to reproduce: 1. Save attached image to $HOME/tmp/Wonder Woman.jpg 2. Open empathy 3. Click Edit/Personal Information 4. select the People Nearby Account 5. Thanks for your report. This should have been fixed recently and will be in 2.30.2 and 2.31.3
