Description Christian Rose 2010-05-26 20:44:24 UTC
Since May 21st, an error mail is generated and being mailed to root@gnome.org for appearantly all gnome.org servers every hour. That is really a lot of noisy mail...

The mail is being generated every hour for the following servers:

combobox.gnome.org
developer-online
drawable.gnome.org
git
label.gnome.org
puppet.gnome.org
vbox.gnome.org
wiki
window.gnome.org

This is the error mail being mailed to root@gnome.org:

"Hi,
This is the automatic update system on window.gnome.org.

There was a problem updating the system. The following error message
was reported:

["[('file /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8/Compress/Zlib.pm conflicts between attempted installs of perl-Compress-Zlib-2.015-1.el5.rf.noarch and perl-IO-Compress-2.024-1.el5.rf.noarch', (6, '/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8/Compress/Zlib.pm', 0L)), ('file /usr/share/man/man3/Compress::Zlib.3pm.gz conflicts between attempted installs of perl-Compress-Zlib-2.015-1.el5.rf.noarch and perl-IO-Compress-2.024-1.el5.rf.noarch', (6, '/usr/share/man/man3/Compress::Zlib.3pm.gz', 0L))]"]

If the problem persists, manual intervention may be required.
Thank You,
Your Computer"

Should be "appearantly all RHEL gnome.org servers", of course.

I'm on this (the person I was talking to apparently went on vacation in the middle of the conversation, so I'm trying to dig up someone else to contact.)

This is taken care of, is it not?

Please close if it has been resolved.
