Description ross.sumera 2010-05-22 14:34:10 UTC
A PDF file was generated via PDF printing (cups-pdf).

The saved PDF file was opened and 1 sentence on the document was highlighted then the file was re-saved.

When the saved PDF file was opened with Evince (version 2.30.1) the highlighted text was not visible, only the highlighting color.

There is no problem with Okular (version 0.10.2) or Xpdf (version 3.02) when opening the highlighted PDF file. The highlighted section or sentence, text were visible.

The PDF highlighting software used was a PDF-XChange Viewer (version 2.051), a Windows program installed via Wine (version 1.2 rc1). These are all running under a x86_64 Ubuntu GNU/Linux (10.4/lucid).

This is a cairo/poppler bug that has been already fixed. You need cairo >= 1.9.4

Thanks for reporting
