Description Tao Wang 2010-05-11 04:03:41 UTC
Installed the daily build svn r19148, and run it and create a report (or just open a data file with a report opened), then GnuCash silently exit without any warning or error message. There is no error message in trace.log, just like suddently terminated. On Windows 7 with VS, system catch the failure and ask whether you want debug it.

I didn't found any special information about the failure, but the exit code is 2.

I first found the problem by building win32 package by myself, and I don't know why it keep crashing. Then I download daily build from http://code.gnucash.org/builds/win32/trunk/, and found:

r19130 working,
r19145 working
r19148 failed.

So, it's the change between r19145 and r19148 cause the failure.

Yep, r19147 and r19148 from bug#615168 seem to cause this and should probably be reverted for now.
Comment 2 Christian Stimming 2010-05-14 07:50:10 UTC
This should be fixed in trunk r19156?
Comment 3 Tao Wang 2010-05-15 16:03:29 UTC
I tried with r19165 and r19167, and comfirmed it works now. I tried many reports, they works as expected, and not crashed anymore. Thank you.
