Description Jesse Ruderman 2010-05-10 03:07:31 UTC
I'm using GNOME Terminal 2.29.6, which came with Ubuntu 10.04.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Click the beginning of a word in the terminal window.
2. Shift-click the end of the word. (The word should now appear selected.)
3. Ctrl+Shift+C.
4. Paste into another application using Ctrl+V.

Result: old clipboard contents are pasted, rather than the selected word.

Copying works with selections created by a drag-motion, but it's really hard to select 1000 lines by dragging.
