Description Pascal de Bruijn 2010-05-06 17:07:46 UTC
Hi,

The Glaurung chess engine has been forked to become Stockfish, the original Glaurung developer joined the Stockfish team...

Stockfish is supposed to be extremely strong...

It's installed as:
/usr/games/stockfish

More info:
http://www.stockfishchess.com/download/

It's already available nicely packaged for Ubuntu.

This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.
Comment 3 Pascal de Bruijn 2010-05-10 17:37:51 UTC
I'd love to see this make it into a GNOME patch release 2.30.1 ?
Comment 4 JP Rosevear 2010-05-10 17:58:27 UTC
glchess is part of gnome-games, gnome-chess is something different. You need to change components for this bug.
Comment 5 Pascal de Bruijn 2010-05-10 18:46:39 UTC
Indeed. My bad.
Comment 6 Robert Ancell 2010-05-11 07:46:39 UTC
I've also applied the change for 2.30.2
