[tracker] Get out gst-plugins-cairo
Last modified: 2013-04-04 11:00:43 UTC
gst-plugins-cairo is the new effort to make GStreamer video handling use Cairo. For a general plan to action, see http://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/wiki/VideoHackfest/Conclusions The code currently exists here: http://cgit.freedesktop.org/~company/gst-plugins-cairo As of now, it requires custom Cairo and Pixman branches, get them from: http://cgit.freedesktop.org/~company/pixman/log/?h=planar http://cgit.freedesktop.org/~company/cairo/log/?h=planar This bug tracks the effort to get the first release out.
I guess we can close this as OBSOLETE ? Out of curiosity, has any of the pixman/cairo support for other formats ever landed? Should still be possible to do some cool things with cairo in 0.11/1.0, but I guess we don't need this tracker bug any more for that.
Yeah, let's close it. And no, no code ever came out of the branches. Plus, it seems everybody is moving towards EGL these days anyway.
