Description Alessandro Crismani 2010-05-04 19:33:39 UTC
hi everybody,

I am experiencing a problem with in-line chat replies on Arch Linux, using the gnome-shell-git package (which builds the shell from git).

When I launch gnome-shell --replace and open empathy I cannot see any notifications of incoming chats and / or reply to them, neither from empathy or from the in-line client on the notification area (which does not show the incoming message).

The strange fact is that if I run "restart" from Alt+F2 the shell reloads and I can see both empathy and the notification area displaying the messages received before. I can now chat through the in-line client, however if I close the empathy chat corresponding to the conversation the new messages are lost again, until another restart is given.

Cheers,
Alessandro
