No zoom-belect-box in status bar in 2.6.8(Ubuntu 10.04)

Hi,

i've downloaded the new Gimp-Version(2.6.8) and would like to create an image. whenever i zoom, i have to press "+" or "-".
I remember, in previous versions, i had a select box in the bottom of the image-window. But in this Version, this box is missing. Status bar is enabled.
(See the attachment)

I resent, that i have to press "+", "-" all times and don't see the current zoom factor.
