Description Scott Berry 2010-05-02 18:28:46 UTC
On the list there has been talk about voice profiles.

The jist of the conversion is that it should be implemented with care. With care means making the Automatic reading of languages configurable. Also using the language abreviations in HTML/XML. Also when saving the configuration the volume, pitch and speed should be saved as part of the profile. In each voice profile you would have a dictionary for that particular speech synthesizer as well as a global user dictionary to change pronunciation.

Thanks for filing this Scott!

Something I learned is that the GNOME community doesn't like it when we set the GNOME target field. Instead, we should set the Target Milestone field. That said, the Orca team sets the Target Milestone after triage and evaluation of the request/bug.

Likewise, the enhancement bit should be set as the Severity level.

I think thsi is fixed with merging of the configuration stuff and profiles in to master
