Description Benjamin Berg 2010-05-02 14:13:02 UTC
I quite often recieve one message over multiple mailinglists. So any time a message is marked read in one folder, all messages with the same message ID would be marked as unread at the same time. The same would be true if a new message arrives in one folder, and it is already marked read somewhere.

For this to work, evolution would likely need a list of the IDs of all read and unread messages. If there is nothing that already stores enough data, then this is likely a too complex.

GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/Community/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new enhancement request ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
