Adding what I hope is a better stack trace. Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but the maintainers need more information to fix the bug. Could you please answer the questions in the other report in order to help the developers? *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 612378 ***
The only question appearing in bug 612378 is a request for a better stack trace. That's why I improved mine. If the new stack trace needs to be improved, please tell me which library is still missing debug symbols. If you have a specific question, ask.
Reopening and moving to GStreamer because of the nice trace.

The backtrace looks good but which version of gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad are you using? The backtrace looks like it is from an old version and the only place where this could've happened has a check to prevent this. Please try again with the latest release (Debian sid has it, unfortunately it didn't migrate to testing yet).
I've upgraded to gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad 0.10.18-2+b1, and totem no longer crashes. Pressing right to go forward works perfectly in the main title, but seems to fail in the preview titles - based on DEBUG messages, I'm guessing this is known (libdvdnav: RANDOM or SHUFFLE titles are NOT handled yet). If I'm wrong, let me know, and I'll open a new bug for that. I'm marking this bug as RESOLVED FIXED.
