GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 617091
Export to picasaweb hangs
Last modified: 2018-07-01 08:50:43 UTC
I selected a few photos and started exporting them to Picasa web. I managed to create a new album, but the uploading of photos seems to hang. running f-spot with --debug, do not really show anything. [Debug 01:46:53.399] GoogleAccount.Connect() [Debug 01:47:04.353] Starting Upload to Picasa [Debug 01:47:04.353] Picasa uploading 0 [Debug 01:47:04.356] open uri = file:///home/photos/2010/04/19/img_5281.jpg [Debug 01:47:04.600] open uri = file:///home/photos/2010/04/19/img_5281.jpg value = f-spot version 0.6.1.5 len = 22 value = 2010:04:29 01:47:04 len = 19 Saved 17245 bytes [Debug 01:47:04.745] open uri = file:///tmp/tmpb846699.tmp..jpg The uploading popup gui do not show any progres at all. Only states "0 bytes of approx. 1.4 MB" Would really like this export plugin to work, since Facebook seems to be blocked in China (and the facebook plugin seems to not work either )
Just after I submitted this one, I got an timeout error. [Warn 01:52:04.758] Caught an exception - Write timed out. (in `System') at System.Net.WebConnectionStream.Write (System.Byte[] buffer, Int32 offset, Int32 size) [0x00000] at Mono.Google.Picasa.PicasaAlbum.UploadPicture (System.String title, System.String description, System.String mime_type, System.IO.Stream input) [0x00000] at Mono.Google.Picasa.PicasaAlbum.UploadPicture (System.String title, System.String description, System.IO.Stream input) [0x00000] at Mono.Google.Picasa.PicasaAlbum.UploadPicture (System.String filename, System.String title, System.String description) [0x00000] at FSpotGoogleExport.GoogleExport.Upload () [0x00000] And yes, I can access picasaweb from a browser. I managed to send my photos by email to picasaweb. I also could upload photos to facebook by using shotwell.
f-spot is not under active development anymore, has not seen code changes for five years, and saw its last tarball release in the year 2010. Its codebase has been archived: https://gitlab.gnome.org/Archive/f-spot/commits/master Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is deprecated) if anyone takes the responsibility for active development again.
