Description Simon Jin 2010-04-26 10:17:04 UTC
Protocol like "mailto:?attach=/path/test.jpg" doesn't supported by thunderbird.
But it does by evolution.
Comment 1 Adrian Zgorzałek 2012-02-27 20:53:48 UTC
It looks like Thunderbird banned using attachment in mailto and will not bring it back because of security reasons. What do you suggest? I think we can try to notify user that this function is unsupported in Thunderbird when is set as default.
Comment 2 Felix Riemann 2012-09-15 12:15:10 UTC
Well,
thunderbird -compose "attachment='/tmp/image.jpg'"

seems to work as expected with TB 15.0

The only solution I can really think of right now is to special case if thunderbird is detected as the default mail application.
