Musicbrainz's canonical name for a release or artist is in the native language, which can be an enormous pain when ripping music by artists whose local names are in an entirely different character set: they can't be searched for in Rhythmbox, there can be difficulties with file and directory creation, etc. Take for example Rachmaninov:

Since Musicbrainz also provides English name aliases for these artists, it would be *really* nice to be able to tick a box in Sound Juicer's preferences to prefer using the name more consistent with the local character set if possible.

Hm, I wonder if it would be possible to automatically pick an alias based on the languages.  Probably not.

Maybe the "artist" entry should become a dropdown in this situation to let the user pick an alias.
