GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 616697
string "Payment rec'd..." should be more cleared.
Last modified: 2018-06-29 22:38:27 UTC
I found the translation of string "Payment rec'd..." is very different from its original meaning. The reason is that the abbr:"rec'd" for "received is not familiar with us. Could you change it to "received" or add a memo for Translators?
> a. should we change the option name ? Yes, absolutely. The original string is very bad. The feature itself is new so we don't loose existing features if we break the string freeze by changing this string. > b. what would be a better concise description ? What is the usage of this string? It's the option name for a text option whose content is printed at some place in the report? Then either "Payment received" or "Text for Payment Received". Any developer can go ahead and change it immediately.
Ok, I have chosen "Payment received text" as an alternative.
