Description psypher246 2010-04-21 07:41:27 UTC
Our Exchange Servers were upgraded to 2007 this last weekend and now I have pretty much lost all features I had with the evolution-exchange plugin.

Going to log separate bugs for each issue I have.

Please let me know what information you require to troubleshoot this problem.

I am running Ubuntu 9.10 with following packages installed:

evolution 2.28.1
evolution-mapi 0.28.2

When I try move or copy my mails from my MAPI mailbox to an offline account I have the following issue:

When moving the mails they only copy but do not move. Once you have "moved" the mail you cannot access the mails still, incorrectly, left behind in the mapi mailbox. I get message unretrievable error. have to close Evolution and open again to access those mail which SHOULD have been moved. Also when moving the mail the move takes MUCH longer than it used to take using the evolution-exchange plugin

Thanks

What do you mean by offline account ?

Are you trying to move mails to local folder (On this computer) ?

seems to work moving files to a local mail account, on my computer. Does not seem to work when moving to an IMAP mailbox like gmail. Been using gmail as a mailarchiver and I manually move my mail between accounts, worked like a dream with the OWA connector. Stopped working today as our Exchange servers were upgraded to 2007 and now lost all features I had with OWA connector.

Thanks for a bug report. 0.28.2 is kinda old, the actual stable release is 0.30.1.
Please do not set blocker status to a bug yourself.

To clarify steps:
a) have configured an IMAP account with GMail
b) have configured a MAPI account with Exchange 2007 server
c) go to MAPI account Inbox (any subfolder)
d) select messages and drag & drop them to a folder on IMAP account

Result: Not all messages are moved/copied to the IMAP folder. and there is an error about not able to retrieve the message.

Is the above correct? And if so:
A) what is the exact error message (you can click on the icon in the status bar to see it)

B) who is claiming the error message (if not obvious from A))

C) when you start drag & drop, is evolution-mapi still updating the folder? (it is shown in the status bar as well, some action in progress)

D) when you try the same with an On This Computer folder as a destination, is there the same result? Note it might depend on C)

E) are you able to try with 0.30 (or the best with 0.31 as there were done massive changes in 0.31); also note there is not planned any update for 0.28 any more, not talking that the last 0.28 version is 0.28.3, not 0.28.2.
