Description Gabe Gorelick 2010-04-21 04:53:05 UTC
See the original downstream bug report at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/566222.

The Debian man page for gnome-control-center has some options listed that are not actually accepted. This includes --version, --usage, and --use-shell. If the latter two options just aren't used anymore, then they will be dropped from the documentation. But is it expected behavior that --version is not accepted? It really is often the easiest way to get the version of a shell command.

$ gnome-control-center --version
gnome-control-center 2.91.5

Works in GNOME 3.x.
