Patch to change the behaviour accordingly

If the volume slider is on anything else but the lowest position, when click-and-slide is performed the volume is update real-time. When the volume slider is on 0 though during click-and-slide nothing happens and the mouse button must be released in order to get the sound volume updated. This makes for an inconsistent and annoying behavior.

This is due to that the "mute" checkbox is not automatically unchecked when moving upwards.

Agree, however that patch conflicts with the changes made with bug 595857 (sha1 bda05481).

Generally, I like the patch, but there might be a case where it doesn't work that Bastien had in mind. Please Bastien have a look. or I will try to understand better bug 595857 before applying this patch blindly.

in did in comment #2, as I said, it conflicts with a previous change from Bastien. so "somebody" has to be him, I guess.
Comment 5 Sebastien Bacher 2010-08-12 21:26:46 UTC
right, you also said that you would try to understand the change better if he was not responding ;-)
