Description Josselin Mouette 2010-04-08 22:34:28 UTC
Since version 2.30, evolution is lacking session management support. It will not save itself when requested to by the session manager. Looks like the corresponding code has been completely dropped.
Comment 1 Matthew Barnes 2010-04-09 12:31:46 UTC
The old libgnome-based session management support didn't really work. We use EggSMClient now, but only listen for quit signals. Listening for the "save-state" signal is an enhancement I hope to add soon.

Good to know it’s being worked on, thanks.
Comment 3 André Klapper 2021-05-19 11:08:42 UTC
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/Community/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new enhancement request ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
