GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 615163
System Monitor applet: set background colour according to theme
Last modified: 2020-11-07 12:25:43 UTC
System monitor, by default, uses colours which are not very aesthetically pleasing next to the default theme colours. Moreover, the system monitor takes no pains to follow the theme's colours. This is fairly reasonable, as bright primary colours are used to distinguish the various load categories (CPU, memory, swap etc.). However it would be nice to at least have the background colour match the panel (i.e. set to transparent).
I agree that it would be great to be able to choose transparency instead of a specific color for background, free memory and cpu-status 'idle'.
bugzilla.gnome.org is being replaced by gitlab.gnome.org. We are closing all old feature requests in Bugzilla which have not seen updates for many years. If you still use gnome-applets and if you are still requesting this feature in a currently supported version of GNOME (currently that would be 3.38), then please feel free to report it at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-applets/-/issues/ Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry it could not be implemented.
