Description Chris Kühl 2010-04-07 19:05:25 UTC
The "Show Rhythmbox" and "Quit" menu items in the Rhythmbox applet menu are located to close to each other making it easy to quit when one wants to show the application. I've done this way too many times.

Steps to reproduce

1) left-click on the Rythmbox applet icon.
2) Be as careless as I am when clicking and accidentally choose "Quit."

Actual Result

1) Rhythmbox quits and music stops
2) Rhythmbox needs to be restarted
3) Rhythmbox starts but is hidden and needs to be shown again (another bug?)

Expected result

In the worst case I erroneously click on something innocuous like "Play". In the best case I actually click the "Show" item and Rhythmbox appears.

This is on Ubuntu Lucid with Rhythmbox 0.12.8.

Perhaps getting rid of this menu entry is the best solution as mentioned in Bug 551691

The menu you're talking about is part of an Ubuntu-specific patch. I'm closing this bug as a duplicate of the bug requesting inclusion of the patch.

Sorry, should have checked Launchpad first. Bug #512196 in Launchpad is also a duplicate of this.
