When marking a message for movement to another folder, Evolution now moves this message (irrespective of which folder it is in) to the "Deleted Items" folder! Distribution: Ubuntu 9.10 (karmic) Gnome Release: 2.28.1 2009-11-03 (Ubuntu) BugBuddy Version: 2.28.0
Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. This bug report isn't very useful because it doesn't describe the bug well. If you have time and can still reproduce the bug, please read http://bugzilla.gnome.org/bug-HOWTO.html and add a more useful description to this bug.
Hi Fabio, Here's some more info which may help: uname -a Linux Sirkka-PC1 2.6.31-21-generic #59-Ubuntu SMP Wed Mar 24 07:28:56 UTC 2010 i686 GNU/Linux Evolution 2.28.1 The fault is as described. "Move to folder ..." is done with right mouse click. Sometimes (can't isolate the reason) the message is move only to the "Deleted items" folder". On another occasions it moves the message to both the assigned folder and to the "Deleted items" folder. I have reinstalled Evolution and also completely removed it and installed from scratch, but the fault is still there. I have also completely emptied the "Deleted items" folder, but the files start to come there again. What test would you now like me to try? Best regards Robin
Move = copy + delete. So if you are moving any mail to other folder, one copy will go to deleted item (trash) folder as well. It's not right but that is how it works currently. Did you get any error while emptying the trash ? Just to make sure you are not hit by bug 550414
Yes, that's how it appears to work. I don't get any error message when emptying the "Deleted items" or the "Trash" folder, they empty ok.
