Truncated Application Name

Currently the Application menu shows a truncated name of the application as shown in the attachment. If there are more than one application that starts with the same name like OpenOffice Writer, OpenOffice Calc, etc then application name is shown as 'OpenOffic...'.Its not easy for a user to start a correct application unless he knows the 'Application Icons'.

It would be better to have a tooltip that is visible on placing the mouse on the application icon and shows the application name and comment.
