GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 614775
firestarter menu description is not according to GNOME HIG
Last modified: 2011-12-06 06:15:16 UTC
This bug was already reported on launchpad (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firestarter/+bug/386117) The package "firestarter" installs a menu item under Application -> Internet with the label "Firestarter" but it lacks a useful human description about the target of the app (http://library.gnome.org/devel/hig-book/stable/desktop-application-menu.html.en). "Firestarter desktop firewall" could be a possible solution for english language "Firestarter firewall per il PC " could be a solution for Italian language. No other languages I know. Tested with Ubuntu Lucid (10.04) beta 1
firestarter development has been stalled and it has been unmaintained for a few years now. I contacted Tomas Junnonen (majix@iki.fi) because he is listed as Developer on project page but didn't get any response. I found firestarter on fedora wiki [1] under deprecated packages so i am closing all the bugs as WONTFIX. Please feel free to reopen the bugs in future if anyone takes the responsibility for active development. [1] http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Deprecated_packages
