Screenshot demonstrating the problem

I'm forwarding this bug, originally reported by user Viesturs Zariņš from Ubuntu.

Link: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/549520

I was able to reproduce this with my Ipod touch. I'm attaching a screen shot to demonstrate the issue.

Original report
-------------------
Steps to reproduce:
- have a usb drive with mp3 directory containing some mp3 files and DCIM directory containing some jpegs.
- attach the usb drive to the PC.
- two dialogs appear - one saying the USB drive contains pictures, another that it is a digital audio player.

Expected behavior:
- one dialog appears, saying that the device contains both audio and photos and have appropriate options to open with rythmbox or F-spot or whatever.

Note: tested with HTC HERO as the USB device.

This is now handled in gnome-shell itself.
Comment 2 Giovanni Campagna 2013-03-28 13:59:43 UTC
Yes, but this bug was reported against nautilus 2.30. Obsolete?
Comment 3 Cosimo Cecchi 2013-03-28 14:07:10 UTC
Pretty sure this is obsolete for 3.8.
