forwarding this bug from downstream (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-panel/+bug/546759)

to reproduce: right click on a panel and press add to panel. The attached bug report has a complete description/screenshot of what happens.

This problem seems to have gone away with the 2.30 version of gnome-panel, I can not edit the status of this bug however, could someone mark it as fixed?

The bug still exists in 2.30.0.

New panel creates and invisible panel on one side, that can't be seen or removed until restarting.
