I can confirm that this was indeed a problem, but it has been fixed.

For those who don't want to go through translating Russian, the issue that is being reported here goes like this. When you create a PDF of sudokus it looks fine in EVince, but when you look at the same exact pdf file in the Adobe Acrobat reader, the last sudoku on each page is blank.

There is a reference pdf in that Russian discussion. I was able to see that in evince it looked fine but in Acrobat reader it didn't. So I ran a test on the latest version using the same kind of setup they had in their test - 6 sudokus a page. The new version works fine, but it did look a little different. The grid lines were thicker and the cell values had a bigger font size on the Russian version. Digging a little deeper, I noticed that the Russian's pdf was produced by libgnomeprint, whereas the latest version was using cairo.

Turns out that Thomas ported the sudoku printing from gnomeprint to gtk print(cairo) right after gnome-games 2.26 was released. I rewound my dev version to 2.26 and reran my 6 sudoku per page test. Sure enough - the last sudokus on each page show up blank in Acrobat Reader and they look fine in EVince. Looks like it was a problem with gnomeprint, or how we were using gnomeprint.

So yeah - this problem has been fixed.

Old version pdf file

This is the pdf I created with version 2.26 of gnome-games. When you look at it in Acrobat Reader - the last sudokus on each full page are blank.

This pdf was created with the latest version. The file looks good in Acrobat Reader and EVince.

So, there is still problem in gnome-print, isn't it?

We must submit a bug with link to this discussion. Am I right?
