Steps to reproduce the bug:

1- Open gedit and open any text file
2- Move the cursor to let say end of line 4
3- Close gedit
4- Open gedit 

Expected Results:

The cursor is at the end of line 4

Actual Results:

The cursor is at the beginning of line 1

Gedit works fine with 2.28.X, this is only reproducible with 2.29.X ; Thanks in advance!.

I can confirm this bug, I can confirm gedit work fine in 2.28.x too

I've just pushed a fix in gtksourceview that should fix part of this bug.

I released gtksourceview 2.9.9 and now cursor position is saved for me. Can you confirm or reopen?
