Description Twisted Lincoln, Inc. 2010-03-15 21:11:31 UTC
Running GDM 2.28, we can't catch $USER $USERNAME or $LOGNAME variables
from /etc/gdm/PostLogin/Default.

Instead, "gdm" is returned for all variables instead of real login name. It was working in the old GDM 2.20 that shipped with GNOME 2.26.

(Bug reported by suggestion of the Ubuntu package maintainers, as noted on the bug report filed on Launchpad: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gdm/+bug/463376)
