Description Alberto Ruiz 2010-03-13 14:37:11 UTC
Launching the nautilus command with a file or a list of files in the same folder as a parameter should open a nautilus window with those files selected.

At the moment nautilus forbids using a file as command line argument.

This is specially useful for the "Show in folder" action on download dialogs, which usually point to a very crowded Downloads folder and it is really hard to spot the file in question.

Lacks a way to tell the currently running nautilus instance to do so, aka bug #498506.
