Description Nicolò Chieffo 2010-03-13 14:07:30 UTC
Always reproducible, steps are:
1) connect to a IRC channel
2) disconnect your internet connection
3) reconnect your internet connection

the result is that you will see lots of join messages, one for each people that is in the channel, as if they connected together. but it's you that joined the channel: they were already inside it.
Comment 1 Nicolò Chieffo 2010-03-13 14:09:49 UTC
note that while you are disconnected, the channel contact list disappears and you can see a "disconnected" message.

I think this can be marked as a duplicate of bug 599453, since cassidy already made it the master bug for this kind of complaint. Make sense to fix both issues at the same time (or even make hiding notifications the default).
