Description Marco Pallotta 2010-03-08 22:14:14 UTC
This bug was already reported on launchpad (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bluefish/+bug/371322)

Bluefish label, inside applications -> programming is not translated in Italian.
In fact it reports "Bluefish editor". I think a solution for Italian could be "Bluefish - creatore di siti web"
Comment 1 falsetti 2010-03-09 15:17:39 UTC
Hi Marco,
Bluefish editor is traduced in Italian as "Editor Bluefish", this conforms to all translations. (see https://bluefish.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/bluefish/trunk/bluefish/po first msgid)
Bluefish is not only a "creatore di siti web" but a full text editor.

Thanks for your interest in Bluefish, and your help.

Comment 2 Marco Pallotta 2010-03-11 08:54:07 UTC
Ok. Txs for your reply even if I prefer a translation similar to "Editor di siti web Bluefish" as a typical user couldn't know what is Bluefish and moreover this translation could be compliance to GNOME HIG (http://library.gnome.org/devel/hig-book/stable/desktop-application-menu.html.en).

However I think the issue still remains as in Ubuntu 10.04 I can read "Bluefish Editor" whereas in https://bluefish.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/bluefish/trunk/bluefish/po I can read that the translation could be "Editor Bluefish" so the entry in the gnome menu isn't translated.

This is obsolete. The italian translation is current for the menu.
