Evolution 2.28.1 has a setting under Account Editor, Receiving Options, Message Storage, to "Leave messages on server" and "Delete after (n) days". When set, this option leaves messages on the server, but NEVER deletes them. I use this on a laptop and desktop, but have to go under web-mail with the ISP to delete.
