Description Harold Bien 2010-03-03 18:53:32 UTC
PROBLEM: On Windows 7 running GnuCash 2.3.10, if you auto-create a new account by typing in a new account, you will be prompted for the characteristics of the new account. When complete, click "Ok". You can now no longer add any more splits to the transaction, and the credits/debits do not balance and there will be no "Inbalance-USD" category Pressing "TAB" will simply move you on to the next transaction.
WORK-AROUND: Closing and re-opening the view will resolve the issue
POSSIBLE SOURCE: Consider what happens when a new account is inserted - does this somehow affect the editor in that the new split will have the newly created account and this may affect subsequent re-calculations/updates preventing not only the ability to insert new splits, but also the ability to compute inbalances.

Might be duplicate of bug 611347, but am not sure.
