Rhythmbox will play the first tune OK sometimes the second is OK then it fails and marks tunes in the playlist with a 'stop' sign - even tunes it played OK previously. Double clicking a different song while the previous one still plays will often cause the problem. Closing and re-opening Rhythmbox allows a few more tunes to play.

Running Rhythmbox from the command line gives:-

Could you try with more recent versions of gstreamer and plugins ? There has been new releases of most modules since.
