Description Arky 2010-03-02 08:08:50 UTC
All the icons in the notification area inaccessible. The screen reader speaks them as 'icon, icon'

Exact steps to reproduce welcome.
Also, which screenreader? Which exact version?
Comment 2 Arky 2010-03-04 06:01:29 UTC
Using Orca 2.29.91 on Ubuntu Lucid (2.29.91). For a long time now most of the icons in the nofitication area like pidgin, bluetooth etc.. are not accessible with a screen reader.

Testcase
--------
1) Navigate to top panel with Control + Alt + Tab
2) Tab until you reach the notification area
3) You will notice the orca screen reader speaks 'icon, icon' for each icon in the notification area.

You can also use accerciser to test for this.

bugzilla.gnome.org is being replaced by gitlab.gnome.org. We are closing all old bug reports in Bugzilla which have not seen updates for many years.

If you can still reproduce this issue in a currently supported version of GNOME (currently that would be 3.38), then please feel free to report it at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-panel/-/issues/

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
