GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 611562
Icons inaccessible
Last modified: 2020-11-06 20:20:47 UTC
All the icons in the notification area inaccessible. The screen reader speaks them as 'icon, icon'
Exact steps to reproduce welcome. Also, which screenreader? Which exact version?
Using Orca 2.29.91 on Ubuntu Lucid (2.29.91). For a long time now most of the icons in the nofitication area like pidgin, bluetooth etc.. are not accessible with a screen reader. Testcase -------- 1) Navigate to top panel with Control + Alt + Tab 2) Tab until you reach the notification area 3) You will notice the orca screen reader speaks 'icon, icon' for each icon in the notification area. You can also use accerciser to test for this.
